PURPOSE: To simply and accurately control the length of an elastomer element by forming a structurally weakened part along an insert and by providing such a groove that, when a force is applied to the insert end, the insert is slightly dented in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION: An effect that a solenoid valve assembly appropriately controls a fluid flow is closely related to the accuracy for maintaining the length of the elastomer element 34 to a small design allowable tolerance. A circumferential groove 36 in the adjacent to a small-diameter inside part 28 is provided in a insert 12 in an approximately intermediate part between both ends 16, 18 of the insert 12 formed in a hexagonal external wall 14. The weakened part of the insert 12, which is weak in the resistance to the longitudinal force applied to the ends 16, 18 of the insert 12, or a hinge part 38 is formed. The weakened part 38 of the insert 12 permits the insert 12 to be contracted longitudinally so that the length of the elastomer element 34 is accurately controlled in a forming process. |
