PURPOSE:To prevent the damage and exfoliation of a resist image during screen printing by treating screen gauze with far UV before coating with a photosensitive resin. CONSTITUTION:When screen gauze 1 is coated with a photosensitive resin 2 to produce a photosensitive film 3 for a screen printing plate, the gauze 1 is previously treated by exposure with far UV. By this treatment, the surface of the gauze 1 is partially photo-decomposed and a compd. having a polar group such as an oxy or hydroxy group is formed on the surface of the gauze 1. This polar group bonds to each polar group in the photosensitive resin 2 at the time of coating to allow the resin 2 to adhere tightly to the gauze 1 and the damage and exfoliation of a resist image is prevented during printing. |
