PURPOSE: To have an aim that stress of a spherical body is lowered, in a constant velocity joint device using the spherical body as a torque transmission member. CONSTITUTION: This device has an inward member 3 and an outward member 1 to be connected with two shaft members for performing a torque transmission, respectively. The outward member 1 has a recessed part 9 whose inside face is made a substantially spherical surface and a plurality of grooves 11 extending in the axial direction are formed on the inside face of the recessed part 9. The inward member 3 is provided with window-shaped grooves 14 of the same number as that of the grooves 11 corresponding to the grooves 11. In the grooves 14, spherical bodies 16 are stored. The spherical bodies 16 are engaged to both grooves 11, 14 of the inward member 3 and the outward member 1 and transmit torque. The spherical bodies 16 have flat surfaces 16' at two opposed locations and are in contact with the side wall surfaces of the grooves 14 on these flat surfaces 16'.
