<p>The process consists of raising the oil to a set height above the sea surface and submerging it under a surface from where it is pumped into a container. The collecting device consists of two tanks without bottoms, one on each side of the boat, and communicating above and below. The front face of each tank has a window with deflector screens to direct water and oil into a tank contg. another floating tank with two compartments sepd. by a partition. One compartment with a bottom communicates with the collecting window through a hose. The partition has a window through which the oil passes over a ramp and falls into the other compartment without a bottom, where there is a second window communicating with a gallery, from which the oil is pumped to a storage buoy through a ballasted hose.</p> |
