The invention relates to a detection device with multiple thresholds including a plurality of optical sensors (D01-D06) intended for detecting optical tags of different characteristics carried by objects intended to be moved in front of each sensor respectively, characterised in that it comprises: a control circuit (SL) including means for generating a plurality of reference voltages and means for selecting one reference voltage from the said plurality, a plurality of processing circuits (TSn) respectively associated with the optical sensors and each receiving on a first input an analogue voltage produced by the associated sensor and the reference voltage (RC) selected in the control circuit, and including a comparator means for comparing the said analogue voltage with a threshold voltage derived from the said reference voltage, the state of an output of the said comparator means being representative of the aligned or non-aligned position of the optical tag of an object with respect to the associated sensor.
