Method for coating of flat fiber products with pastes being solutions of initial polyacrylic polymers, polyurethane polymers or silicone elastomers in organic solvents, for example, ethyl-octane or toluene, characterised in that directly prior to application of the coating paste, a product is contact-heated or convectionally to temperature being 70-200 degrees C, depending on the product structure, type of initial polymer and organic solvent, coating paste viscosity and distance 20-200 cm between heating zone and paste applicator.2. Device for coating flat fibrous materials characterised in that it is installed in the inlet filed of the coating machine at a distance of 20-200 cm from the applicator head (1) and equipped with cylinder (4) or electric plate (8) contact vapour heaters, placed in a box (5), which also accommodates guide rollers (3) and the box (5) has an inlet slot (6), an outlet slot (2) and insulated walls.<IMAGE>
