PURPOSE:To enable the performing of a sophisticated image diagnosis of lesion of a vital tissue by arranging a pulse transmitting means, a receiving means for receiving echo signals and an amplitude difference information signal generation means to allow the displaying of information, based on a character of the vital tissue as amplitude difference information. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave with a center frequency f1 is transmitted to a vital tissue from an ultrasonic vibrator 1 and the reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave is received with the ultrasonic vibrator 1. The received signal is amplified with a preamplifier 3 and converted into a digital signal with an ADC5 to be preserved into a memory 7 as data. When a second control signal is outputted form a transmission control circuit 3, a transmitting drive circuit 2 drives the ultrasonic vibrator 1 by a pulse signal with a center frequency f2. The signal is amplified with the preamplifier 3 and converted into a digital signal with the ADC5 to be preserved into the memory 7 as data. The respective reflected wave data from the vital tissue obtained by ultrasonic waves with different center frequencies f1 and f2 are displayed as reflection amplitude difference signal from one bearing on a TV monitor 10, thereby achieving more accurate diagnosis of image by an ultrasonic wave. |
