PURPOSE:To reduce the loss in high magnetic fields by blending basic components Fe2O3, MnO and ZnO at a specific molar ratio, then adding and mixing SiO2, CaO, Ta2O5 and ZrO2, granulating the resultant mixture, forming the granulated mixture and subsequently burning the formed compact in an atmosphere of N2. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials of the basic composition composed of 50-55mol% Fe2O3, 32-40mol% MnO and 8-14mol% ZnO are mixed and then calcined in the atmosphere. With the resultant calcined powder, are added and mixed 0.005-0.04wt.% SiO2, 0.02-0.2wt.% CaO, 0.01-0.1wt.% Ta2O5 and 0.01-0.15wt.% ZrO2. The prepared mixture is subsequently pulverized. A binder such as PVA is then added to the mixed powder and the resultant mixture is subsequently granulated, formed into a prescribed shape and burned in an atmosphere of N2 to afford the objective Mn-Zn-based ferrite with an ultralow loss in both high-frequency zones and high magnetic fields. |
