PURPOSE:To provide a raising seedling bed intended to make the seedling division in mechanical transplantation favorable, so designed that a block-covering material formed with a raw material degradable in soil in such a shape as to arrange both longitudinally and laterally many caps is forced into plate-like kneaded soil to form said kneaded soil in a block-shaped fashion with said covering material followed by covering. CONSTITUTION:First, block-covering material B is obtained by forming using a raw material degradable in soil in such a shape as to arrange both longitudinally and laterally many caps 2... with the respective heads 2b... of said caps 2... provided with holes 2c and the openings 2a... connected mutually. Thence, this covering material B is forced into plate-like kneaded soil A to form said soil A in a block-shaped fashion with the covering material B followed by covering. Thus, regardless of the water content of the kneaded soil, block forming can be made easily and the deviation of the intervals between the blocks and their getting out of shape due to intermittent irrigation during raising seedlings will be suppressed, leading to making the seedling division in mechanical transplantation favorable and preventing malplanting. |
