The method for producing instant herbal tea applying separation of fragrant substances from raw material through distillation with water vapour followed by extraction, pasteurisation and agglomeration by means of dry deposit containing saccharose and a moistening agent containing plant extract. The method is distinctive in that it the carrier is moistened with the moistening agent which is an emulsion received from dissolving of 0.2-1% polysaccharide of appropriately low-saccharificated maltodextrins combined with a distillate including fragrant substances in a concentrated plant extract with the content of dry mass ranging between 25% and 35%.
