The shipside joint for a composite ship hull, particularly suitable for coupling a forecastle with a hull, to be applied to hulls with main decks being joined with a side of a long forecastle at the place where they turn into a shipside through a fender fold. The invention is distinctive in that the side of the forecastle (3), going down to the level of the main deck (1) at the place where it meets the fender fold, is curved outwards, its thickness gradually decreasing towards the edge; the curve corresponds to the shape of the fender fold; on the inner inside, there is a wedge corner (6) between the forecastle side (3) and the main deck (1) filled with a chemically reactable material; inlaminated in the corner are two angle irons (7) and (9) with a chemically reactable inter-layer thickening (8) formed in such a way that the outer angle iron (9) makes the main deck (1) merge smoothly into the forecastle side (3); the whole joint area is covered from the outside with a cover plate (10), its thickness decreasing gradually towards both ends.<IMAGE>
