The method of recording electric signal on a magnetic tape, distinctive in that while recording the electric signal is transferred to the output (WE) and the signal of the carrier wave generator (GFN) is modulated in the amplitude modulator (MOD-A); a sign of the signal causes a change in the phase of the wave carrier generator (GFN) and then the signal of the wave carrier generator, its amplitude and phase having been modulated, is recorded on a magnetic tape by means of an acoustic recorder (MAK); while playing the recorded signal its amplitude and phase are demodulated in a phase-sensitive demodulator (DEM-A) so that the signal received at the output (WY) of the demodulator (DEM-A) recovers its initial parameters.<IMAGE>
