<p>A check valve (10) includes first and second valve body parts (14, 16). The first, or lower (14), valve body part defines a protruding neck (22) and the second, or upper (16), valve body part defines a receiving flange (44) sized to received the protruding neck (22) in a telescoping manner. A snap fit retaining mechanism includes a set of hooks (50) on the second (16) valve body part and a hook receiving groove (26) on the first (14) valve body part. The hooks (50) are shaped to engage the groove (26) to hold the first (14) and second (16) valve body parts together as an assembly, with the neck (22) received in the flange (44). A central passageway (18) extends through the first and second (14, 16) valve body parts, and a valve seat (40) is defined around the central passageway (18). A valve pin (66) is mounted in the central passageway (18) to releasably seal against the valve seat (40). <IMAGE></p> |
