The invention relates to a method of automatic image acquisition for stereoscopic macrophotography, and a device for implementing it. The device particularly comprises an assembly fixed on the front part of the objective lens by means of an interchangeable matching ring (1), this assembly consisting particularly of a flap (4) which, in open position, lets through the light onto the whole surface of the front lens of the objective lens, of a double diaphragm (9) consisting of an interchangeable darkened metal tongue pierced with two holes, of a viewpoint selector (7) which, according to its position, shuts off one of the said two holes of the double diaphragm (9) and of an electronic microcircuit (3) for control of the flap (4) and of the viewpoint selector (7). The invention can be used on any single-lens photographic apparatus with viewfinding of the reflex type, motorised and provided with an electrical shutter release. <IMAGE>
