The invention relates to a convertible unit such as a locker that can facilitate the dividing-up of the space which it occupies. The unit according to the invention is characterised in that it consists of at least two trapezoidal cases (1, 2) that can be pivoted about a common vertical axis and can be placed in at least three relative angular positions, namely an "in-line" position to form a flat angle, a "right-angled" position and a third "juxtaposed" position to define a work surface, in which latter case said cases have complementary coupling means. <IMAGE>
