The invention concerns a method of cleaning of water installations consisting in that installation is filled with water solution dissolving residues which decrease efficiency of system, the solution is kept for tie depending on type of residues and degree of system overgrowth, next post-reaction solution is removed together with dissolved residues and then water installation is washed, characterised in that as solution for dissolving of residues is used water solution containing from 5 to 40% per weight sodium bisulphate, and 0.005 to 1% per weight of sodium citrate, preferably 15-20 % per weight acid sodium sulphate and 0.05% per weight of sodium citrate, which is kept in installation from 6 to 72 hours, preferably 24-48 hours, next installation is subject to preliminary three-time washing with water under pressure of 4 atm, after which to installation is introduced water solution containing 0.005 to 0.1% per weight of chloramines T and 0.05 to 1% per weight sodium tripolyphosphate, preferably 0.05% per weight of chloramines T and 1% per weight of sodium tripolyphosphate, which is kept in installation preferably for 6 hours, next installation is subject to three-time washing with water under pressure of 4 atm or water-air mixture under pressure of 5 atm.
