PURPOSE:To obtain the title cloth having an extremely enlarged usable humidity range by immersing inorganic fibers in a solution containing an alkaline earth metal element or coating or spraying the inorganic fibers with a solution containing an alkaline earth metal compound. CONSTITUTION:Inorganic fibers such as glass fibers, rock wool, slag wool or asbestos are immersed in a solution containing an alkaline earth metal element (e.g. calcium salt, magnesium salt, barium salt or strontium salt) or coated or sprayed with a solution containing an alkaline earth metal compound or immersed in a mixed solution of the alkaline earth metal compound and cement, and the surface of the inorganic fibers is provided with a heat-resistant coated layer to extremely enlarge a usable temperature range thereof and to improve chemical resistance. |
