Method for exposure of operating wire of electroenergetic cables with synthetic insulation, in particular for a terminal or cable joint, through radial and full-depth indentation of the synthetic layer, axial indentation and manual removal by parts of thus obtained stripes after knife-cutting the stripe in number of pieces and loosening the material off the bare wire, characterised in that a flat cutting knife, firmly fixed in a cutting machine, makes cuts in such a way, that the axis of symmetry of the knife runs radially through the wire axis, deepens mechanically in the stabilised within a small range depth, smaller or equal to the thickness of the synthetic layers directly over the wire and then makes a round, single cut on the circumference of the insulation layer in a required distance, set up by a distance device of the cutting machine in a spot perpendicular to the cable axis, supporting the cuts with a tripod stand for the knife holder placed on the surface of the synthetic insulation layer being cut and then changing the angle of the knife position into acute angle smaller than 90 degrees versus the cable axis, corresponding to the required pitch of the screw and with thus positioned knife, making a spiral cut alongside the removed synthetic layer, moving the knife from the cut to the front of the cable and thus prepared spiral stripe round the cable, of rectangular or trapezoid cross-section, is then removed by hand by holding its outer end in the place of the end of spiral cut line and unwinding gradually the material off the cable wire, keeping acute or obtuse angle towards the cable axis until the inner end of the cut.
