PURPOSE:To produce the subject sanitary edible container free from crack or damage in the course of the distribution and formable into a dish shape or a cup shape, etc., by making to adhere a sheet of paper to one side of a humidification-treated edible plate. CONSTITUTION:A fluid raw material prepared by kneading raw materials such as wheat flour, sugar and oils and fats with water is cast on a hot plate, sandwiched between the above-mentioned hot plate and the other hot plate and heat dried till wheat starch in the fluid raw material is gelatinized and till water is evaporated. A plate-shaped material is obtained thereby and the resultant plate-shaped material is separated from the hot plate followed by humidification. To one side of the resultant humidification-treated plate-shaped material, a sheet of paper is subsequently made to adhere and further heat drying, together with softening, is then carried out to obtain a heat drying- and softening-treated plate-shaped material having a paper sheet adhering thereto. As desired, the above-obtained heat drying and softening-treated plate-shaped material having a paper sheet adhering thereto is then formed into a dish shape or a cup shape while the side having the paper sheet adhering thereto is directed to the outward. Cooling and solidification are subsequently carried out. |
