Continuous textile dyeing - with dye bath contg. acrylic] acid-acrylamide] copolymer as anti-migration agent and epsilon-caprolactam to prevent deposits on drier rollers
摘要
The continuous dyeing of textiles based on cellulose and/or polyester fibre comprises pad-dyeing with aq. baths contg. vat dyes and/or dispersion dyes and copolymers of (meth)acrylic acid and (meth)acrylamide (I) as antimigration agents, followed by drying and fixing the dye. The novelty is that the aq. dye bath also contains 0.5-20 pts.wt. epsilon-caprolactam (II) to 100 pts.wt. copolymer. Pref. (I) is a copolymer of 60-80 wt.% acrylic acid and 40-20 wt.% acrylamide, with K value 100-160; the bath contains 2-60 g/l dyestuff, 1-2 g/l (I) and 5-10 pts.wt. (II) (to 100 pts.wt. I); drying temp. is 80-120 deg.C and fixing temp. (for dispersion dyes) is 180-220 deg.C. USE/ADVANTAGE - (II) is useful in aq. pad-dyeing baths as an additive for preventing the formation of interfering deposits on the idler rolls in the drying unit (claimed). No deposits are formed on the rollers even after drying large amts. of fabric, so that equipment cleaning costs are greatly reduced and there are no spots on the dyed mater
