GAS LEAKAGE DETECTOR AND CONTROLLER FOR A SMOKE EXHAUSTER

A gas detector gas leakage and controller for a smoke exhauster comprising a gas sensor and control unit integrally housed under the hood of a conventional smoke exhauster. High concentrations of gas, of the type used for cooking and heating due to a gas leakage, is detected by the gas sensor and control unit which gives an aural warning through a buzzer and visual warning through indicator lights, both integrally mounted on the smoke exhauster. The fan motors of the smoke exhauster are automatically activated by the control unit to evacuate gas from the room and shuts off automatically shortly after gas levels have been reduced to safe levels as determined by the gas sensor and control unit.
