PURPOSE:To obviate the installation of a heater designed to protect a refrigerating chamber from excess cooling as a new excess cooling prevention measure by turning ON a ventilation fan and a defrosting heater when a compressor for refrigerant circulation is turned OFF during cold open air temperature and turning OFF said defrosting heater when the temperature in the refrigerating chamber reaches a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:When it in determined that the open air is cold by an open air temperature sensor, a microcomputer outputs a signal to supply power to a defrosting heater 21 and a ventilation fan 16, thereby generating heat from the defrosting heater 21. The heat generated from the defrosting heater 21 is circulated through a refrigerating chamber 26 by means of the ventilation fan 16. When the temperature reaches a specified temperature in the refrigerating chamber 26, the ventilation fan 16 an the defrosting heater 21 are turned OFF by a signal transmitted from a thermistor mounted in the refrigerating chamber 26, which prevents the refrigerating chamber from excess cooling. This construction makes it possible to eliminate the need for installing a new heater designed to protect the refrigerating chamber from excess cooling as an excess cooling prevention practice and hence reduce production cost. |
