Shock absorber with inner and outer tubes - is extruded as one piece with interconnecting webs

The shock absorber has a fluid filled inner tube (2) containing a longitudinally displaceable piston connected to at least one piston rod. The inner tube (2) is connected to and spaced from a surrounding outer tube (1) by several longitudinally aligned webs (7) and the entire unit is made in one piece with same by the extrusion process, preferably from aluminium. The outer tube can be provided with longitudinal ribs and the webs can be spaced out at 90 deg.. ADVANTAGE - Easier manufacturing producing a lightweight shock absorber with good heat dissipation.
