The intake device has a length adjustable intake conduit, with an engine-fastened section (3), and a movable section (4), fromed as an elbow pipe. The elbow pipe is located movable, separate from the fixed section, and upstream (6) of the mouth of this section, for length adjustment of the intake tube (2). The engine-sided elbow of the elbow pipe is shaped to correspond to an intake funnel (8) on the fixed section. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple construction of variable length conduit on inlet system for IC engine.
