<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a starting motor from working failure at the time of starting an engine by constituting the headlamp drive device for the subject car so that a small electric power of almost the minimum power necessary to maintain discharge for a headlamp is applied to a discharge lamp at the time when the starting motor works and so that a sufficient power is supplied at the time when the starting motor does not work. CONSTITUTION:At the time when a starting motor 2 works, a monostable multi vibrator 7 oscillates in a pulse width of which oscillation time constant is decided by resistance 13 and a capacitor 17 as a relay 11 is switched on and resistance 14 is shortened. In the same way, as a relay 12 is switched on, a monostable multi vibrator 7 oscillates in a pulse width of which oscillation time constant is decided by resistance 15 and a capacitor 18. Consequently, a duty ratio of two output signals of the monostable multi vibrators 6 and 7 comes to be small in comparison with the case when the starting motor does not work and consumed power of a discharge lamp bulb 37 connected to terminals C, D comes to be small, and accordingly, it is possible to prevent adverse effect on the work of the starting motor.</p> |
