A hand tool, especially an angle grinder, has a tool housing (10) divided into a motor casing (11) and a hand-grip (15) arranged on its front, the hand-grip (15) being rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the motor casing (11). A securing device (20) ensures that the hand-grip (15) is held in at least two predetermined rotating positions on the motor casing (11). In order structurally to simplify the securing device (20), the hand-grip (15) is fitted on a mounting (22) on the motor casing (11) so as to rotate and move axially and engages with at least one locking cam (26) in an annular groove (23) in the mounting (22) corresponding to at least two locking recesses (24) in the annular collar (25). The engagement between the cam (26) and the recesses (24) attained by the axial movement of the hand-grip (15) is maintained by at least one locking pin (28).
