PURPOSE:To improve a beam utilization factor by forming an intermediate shield plate between a reflecting mirror and a projection lens with a translucent material, and further forming a part of the shield plate as a translucent section for providing a convex lens section for refracting a beam down. CONSTITUTION:A shield plate 5 laid at an intermediate position between a reflecting mirror 3 and a projection lens 4 is formed with a translucent member, and a screen film 6 is formed on the necessary section of the plate 5 such as an upper edge 5a, thereby obtaining a terminator. Also, a translucent section 5b without the film 6 is formed on the shield plate 5 where exposed to a beam from the lower half of the reflecting mirror 3. Furthermore, the translucent section 5b is provided with a convex lens 5c for passing and refracting a beam from the reflecting mirror 3 toward a direction below a horizontal level with the mounting condition of the aforesaid headlamp 1. According to the aforesaid construction, a beam utilization factor increases by the quantity of the beam passing through the translucent section 5b, thereby enabling the headlamp 1 to be bright. |
