TEXT OVERLAY METHOD TO STANDARD RESOLUTION IMAGE

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of drop-out data by fixing the top positions of respective fonts on a paper plane by an image encoding section which stores compressed text data into a facsimile data buffer and executing the selection of a character font with a change of the vertical resolution of the overlay characters of the text data. CONSTITUTION:The top positions of the respective fonts are fixed on the paper plane regardless of the kinds of the fonts by the image encoding section 8 which stores the text data compressed in an overlay control section 3 into the facsimile data buffer 4. The selection of the character font with the change of the vertical resolution of the overlay characters of the text data is executed. The drop-out of the overlay data of the text data, etc., arising from the difference in the vertical resolution is prevented in this way at the time of changing the text data to image data.
