PURPOSE:To enable color adjustment to be made for the light of an illuminant by mixing colored pigment into a light diffusing and permeable panel. CONSTITUTION:A light diffusing and permeable panel 12 is provided, constituting a backlight illumination device 30 together with a casing 1 having a reflecting surface and a fluorescent lamp 5 as an illuminant. When the panel 12 is mixed with colored pigment, the color of illuminant light can be adjusted with simple constitution, and a front liquid crystal panel 20 can be irradiated with color adjusted illuminant light. |
