Automatically masking in photographic printer - exposing phototropic plate with subject to control contrast in subsequent print by dodging
摘要
The negative (1) is illuminated via a conventional optics to expose the photocopier paper (14) with automatic correction for light level and colour balance. If the contrast is outside the programmed range a phototropic plate (4) is positioned under the negative and exposed via a second light source (15). The subsequent photographic print is then through the plots and the negative. The phototropic plate can be on a carousel, or on a band feed. The plate is coated to prevent formation of Newton Rings. The negative is measured via a CCD array (9) prior to printing. ADVANTAGE - Automatic print correction; high throughput rate.
