PURPOSE:To sharply reduce the number of welds and enhance the sound insulating properties by allowing a cooling water distribution box-shaped casing to comprise a casing main body made of an article formed by a drawing press which is rear-opening box-shaped, and a cover which covers said opening section. CONSTITUTION:A casing main body 1a and a cover 1b are coupled with each other in an enclosed manner by welding a collar section 17 of the casing main body 1a in its peripheral edge with the peripheral edge of the cover 1b. Both upper and lower air supply manifolds 5 and 6 are made by articles 5A and 6B molded by a box-shaped press whose top is opened. The opening peripheral edge section of these press moldings 5A and 6A are respectively connected with the upper and lower walls 11 and 12 of the casing main body 1a by welding. In addition, parallel-aligned air supply distribution flat pipes 2 are housed in a water flow section 10 of a casing 1 so that every flat pieces 2 may be surrounded by water, which enhances sound insulating properties to a satisfactory extent. |
