The casing of a steel cannula has an integral sleeve, made of the same plastic, e.g. polyethylene, for the attachment of a squeeze-type of stop valve, based on a piece of hose of silicone rubber. A thrust piece consists of the cap, a shell, the pin and a snap ring which is pref. made as a one-piece plastic moulding. When it is depressed and the snap ring snaps over the two opposite chamfered ledges, the pin squeezes the centre of the hose together and stops the flow.
