The contours of the object are first formed in broad line in negative relief on a heated metallic embossing plate. This is then covered on its raised areas by a temp.-proof holographic film so that they can be pressed together briefly with heat onto a picture etc. forming surface composed of softer material than the plate and with a surface contrasting with that of the film. USE/ADVANTAGE - Design printing etc. Embossed plate and film applied to soft contrasting picture material, e.g. for mass prodn. to strict quality standard
