PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an intermittent reception operation by shortening the ON time of power supply of a receiver in comparison with a conventional case in the absence of a transmission signal and then turning off the power supply of the receiver after reception of the data when a synchronous code is detected out of the transmission signal. CONSTITUTION:The time t2 when the power supply of a receiver is kept ON is smaller than the conventional time (t). When the power supply of the receiver is turned on with the start of a synchronous code, this code is detected concurrently with the ON state of the power supply. Then the power supply is turned off when the reception of data is complete. A period covering the end of reception of the data through the next reception of data is set at a multiple of the transmission time of a transmission signal so that the position where the power supply of the receiver is turned on is coincident with the start of the synchronous code. Thus the shortest reception time is secured. |
