PURPOSE:To replenish brake force optimally through electric brake for any brake operation by detecting brake pressure of an air brake unit and producing an electric brake torque having rising characteristic higher by a predetermined amount than thus detected brake pressure. CONSTITUTION:When a driver steps a brake pedal 12 of an air brake system 60, rising characteristic of the air brake system 60 is detected by a brake pressure detecting circuit 45 based on a signal delivered from a pressure sensor 57. On the other hand, an electric brake torque setting circuit 46 sets a maximum electric brake torque TBe corresponding to the stepping of pedal having steeper rising characteristic. Consequently, rotating field at the stator section of an induction machine lags abruptly and the engine driving system is braked abruptly. |
