PURPOSE:To simplify the operation such as retrieval of information and display relating to a message or the like to eliminate the need for the operation and to improve the convenience of a receiver carrier by providing a means detecting a keyword in the message and a means displaying the information relating to the detected keyword to the receiver. CONSTITUTION:A radio signal received by an antenna 1 is amplified by a radio section 2 and demodulated. The demodulated signal is converted into a digital signal by a waveform shaping circuit 3 and collated with its own selective calling signal stored in an ID memory section 5 by a decoder section 4 and when its own selective calling signal is received, the received signal is outputted to a CPU 6. Upon the receipt of the signal from the decoder section 4, the CPU 6 outputs a control signal to a driver section 7 to make a notice and outputs a control signal to an LCD driver 8 to display a message to the LCD 9. Thus, the operation of retrieval and display of the information relating to a message is simplified or not required.
