<p>It is possible to prepare polyoxyalkylene polyamines of the formula: <CHEM> wherein a + b + c is 2 to 100 and R is: <CHEM> R' is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, x is 0 to 10, y is 2 to 100, and n is 0 or 1, and with the proviso that when n is 0, then R' is methyl or ethyl; or <CHEM> wherein R'' is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, z is 0 or 1, R has the same meaning as previously described in (1) above, and the sum of d + e + f is 3 to 100. These compounds, which are suitable for producing RIM products or epoxy compositions can be obtained by reductive amination because steric hindrance on tertiary internal nitrogen atoms prevents breaking of the chains.</p> |
