Device for generating a DC voltage with a low ripple for the purpose of powering an X-ray tube between a positive high voltage HT+ and a negative high voltage HT-. The invention lies in the fact that the device comprises a first inverter 31 for supplying the positive high voltage HT+ and a second inverter 32 for supplying the negative high voltage HT-. These inverters are controlled by signals whose phases vary as a function of the sum of the absolute values of HT+ and HT-, of the difference of their absolute values and of the difference of the phases of the currents flowing in the inverters 31 and 32.
