PURPOSE:To reduce the drop of current collecting efficiency due to lithium runout at a lithium negative electrode by providing a negative electrode collector, which is made of linear aluminum foil, at the lithium negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:Positive electrode 3 and lithium negative electrodes 1 respectively strip-formed are in piles via separators 4, and spirally wound electrode groups 5 are housed in a battery can 6. The lithium negative electrode 1 is provided with a negative electrode collector 2 which is made of linear aluminum foil. The negative electrode collector 2 made of the aluminum foil is alloyed with the lithium negative electrode 1 and somewhat hardened. During charge/ discharge, lithium elusion/deposition reaction occurs at the lithium-aluminum alloy portion but does not occur at the aluminum portion. The lithium negative electrode 1 thus hardly runs out if charge and discharge actions are repeated, and a cycle life is improved. |
