PURPOSE:To provide a negative electrode with flexibility and moldability available for a cylindrical battery by having the negative electrode formed by alloying aluminum alloy of Vickers hardness 60 or less with lithium metal. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 1 is formed by alloying aluminum alloy of Vickers hardness 60 or less with lithium metal. In this case, Mn, Cr, Zr, V, Mo or W is preferably added to the aluminum alloy in annealing to restrain the growth of crystal grains. It is thus possible to provide flexibility available for a cylindrical battery without altering charge and discharge cycle property and obtain a secondary battery with a great capacity and a large current. |
