<p>PURPOSE:To maintain a stable tape tension control by keeping braking force for giving a tape supply reel constant under cooperative operation between 1st brake mechanisms and 2nd brake mechanisms. CONSTITUTION:The subject device is provided with tension detecting arms 52 and 55 for detecting tension of a tape 2 on a tape traveling course and the 1st brake mechanisms 57-59 interlocked with these tension detecting arms 52 and 55, for giving the supply reel 50 one part of braking force corresponding to tape tension detected by these tension detecting arms 52 and 55. In addition, the 2nd brake mechanisms 60-62 are provided to be interlocked with the 1st brake mechanisms 57-59 for the purpose of compensating a deficiency of the braking force given to the supply reel 50 by the 1st brake mechanisms 57-59. Then, braking force corresponding to tape tension is given to the supply reel 50 in cooperation between the 1st brake mechanisms 57-59 and the 2nd brake mechanisms 60-62. By this method, without receiving an effect due to eccentricity of the supply reel 50, the stable tape tension control can thus be carried out.</p> |
