PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier which improves heat resistance, durability and electrifying characteristics of the toner and prevents production of spent toner by specifying the proportion of eluted resin in the coating resin of resin-coated carrier with an org. solvent to <=1wt.% of the whole coating resin. CONSTITUTION:The proportion of eluted resin of the coating resin in the resin- coated carrier with an org. solvent is specified to <=1wt.% to the whole coating resin. In this case, the proportion S (%) of eluted resin of the coating resin is obtd. by measuring the amts. of resin before elusion (Rc) and after heating (Rc') and calculating by the formula I. Thereby, the obtd. resin coated carrier is excellent in heat resistance, storage property and electrifying stability for a long time without causing blocking of the carrier, and prevents toner fogging and production of spent toner. |
