PURPOSE:To attain a real time operation at sufficient responsing speed by operating on optical correlation with one space optical modulator. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a space optical modulator 12 to input an object image to take correlation at proper time intervals, to execute the subtraction of the respective object images and to record subtracted images, a laser light source 18 generate light made parallel in order to read the subtracted images recorded in the space optical modulator 12, an optical system 21 to converge the read images and an optical detector 28 measuring the intensity of the converged light by the optical system 21. Accordingly, the correlation of an object can be taken at high speed by taking the correlation in order at the intervals of the rewriting of the object images of an area corresponding to both divided transparent electrodes of the space optical modulator 12, to the extent of 100usec, for instance. Thus, a real time operation is attained at the sufficient responsing speed. |
