PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in adhesion property between a first glass substrate and a smoothing layer by providing an adhesion film between the first glass substrate and the smoothing film near a sealing member. CONSTITUTION:An adhesion film 22 is provided between the first glass substrate 2 and the smoothing film 8 near the sealing member 12. This adhesion layer (intermediate layer) 22 consists of a thin film of metal Cr and is formed simultaneously with formation of a light shielding film 6 to same film thickness. It is preferable that the intermediate layer 22 is provided on the whole outside surface of the color filter to improve the adhesion strength of the smoothing film 8, however, the layer 22 is provided on the area at least under the sealing member 12. Thus, by providing the intermediate layer 22 under the sealing member 12 between the first glass substrate 2 and the smoothing film 8, adhesion property of both layers can be improved. |
