PURPOSE:To always form a smooth layer of uniform film thickness by providing elastic bodies between a liquid crystal substrate and a table and between a pressing substrate and a pressing body. CONSTITUTION:An elastic sheet 40 is mounted on a table 3. When gas is supplied in a pressing tank 2, a rubber sheet 8 expands to press a pressing substrate 21, by which a smoothing resin 22 firmly adheres to the pressing substrate 21. After adhering, fine particles 50 on the table 3 or on a color filter substrate 30 are embedded in the elastic sheet 40, while fine particles 50 on the pressing substrate 21 are embedded in the rubber sheet 8. Thus, the color filter substrate 30 and pressing substrate 21 are free from deformation. Then after the smoothing resin 22 is cured with irradiation of UV ray, the pressing substrate 21 is released to form a smooth layer on the color filter substrate 30. Thereby, even fine particles 50 exist between the color filter substrate 30 and the table 3, a smooth resin layer can be formed. |
