The invention relates to a lighting and monitoring device for a socket outlet with earthing contact which can be provided with an overvoltage protection device. The purpose of this device is to show the readiness for use of the socket outlet and the operability of the overvoltage protection device connected with the socket outlet. For this purpose, the invention provides a plug-in unit which is provided with two lamps, which unit can be placed without problems in the installation device. In this case, one lamp is assigned to the readiness for use of the socket outlet and the other lamp is assigned to the operability of the overvoltage protection device, so that, in the event of malfunction, the source of danger can be optically signalled. |
