<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a control circuit by releasing a can gear from its locking by means of an electromagnetic plunger and returning a head base to a stop position when a power source voltage becomes lower than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When it is detected that the power source voltage is lowered to the prescribed value in a play mode, the electromagnetic plunger 113 is energized to release its positional regulation to a trigger lever 104, and the can gear 84 is released from its locking. Consequently, a mode forming member 72 is moved to a stop position by a spring means, and the head base is moved to the stop position. By this method, without providing a backup capacitor for making a stop mode by rotating the can gear 84 when the power is declined, when a battery voltage becomes lower than the prescribed value, the head base is automatically returned to the stop position, so that a tape cassette can be under the feasible state, thus contriving miniaturization and simplification of the control circuit.</p> |
