The patterning method for stainless steel pipe comprises printing patterns on surface of stainless steel pipe with acid-resistive inks by the scrren printing, and etching it in bath of H3PO4 + H2SO4 + chromic anhydride by applying negative voltage to upper and lower site of bath and positive voltage to center of bath which is connected with stainless steel pipe. In this method, the volume ratio of H3PO4:H2SO4:Chromic anhydride is 6:3:1. It has advantages of simplifying etching processes, reducing manufacturing cost and printing exquisite pattern.
