PURPOSE:To execute connection analysis and modality analysis in a single phase by describing a connection attribute between two predicates and a modality attribute included in the front side predicate, indexing a connection modality analytical rule and simultaneously determining the connection attribute and the modality attribute based upon the rule. CONSTITUTION:A Japanese sentence inputted from an input part 1 is divided into words by a word analysis part 2 by means of an analytical dictionary 6 and depending relation between respective units such as case elements, adverb elements and a predicate is analyzed by a modification analysis part 3 based upon a modification analysis rule 7. A connection modality analysis part 4 analyzes the connection attribute and the modality attribute by means of a connection modality analysis rule 8 and then an output part 5 outputs a syntax analysis result. The connection attribute and the modality attribute are simultaneously determined by connection analysis based upon a predicate and a conjunction and the combination of case/adverb elements and a predicate expression. In the case of individually executing the connection analysis and modality analysis, the processing of one word can be prevented from being overlapped. |
