Device for the collection and separation of used PVC and PET bottles for the purpose of recycling these materials. The bottles are sucked up through a flexible duct (10) by means of a turbine (5) which sends them to a hammer mill (12). The PVC bottles are ground up and the fragments are projected horizontally through a tilting screen (mesh) (15) and then through a deflecting screen (19) which is placed obliquely on the outside of the frame (1) of the device. The bottles made of PET, this material being more impact-resistant than PVC, are only crushed, make the screen (15) tilt, strike the deflecting screen and drop down beneath the latter, thereby forming a pile separated from the PVC fragments. <IMAGE>
